In an interview with err.ee, Ivan Dmitriev, President of the Estonian Esports Federation, spoke about how COVID-19 has impacted the growth of esports around the world and in Estonia especially.
According to the latest research, esports has a positive effect on school and university performance. Many universities have already managed to organize their own esports teams, and some have even launched a separate discipline as part of the educational process.
“I have more than 8000 hours in Dota2, but at the same time I studied at the sports academy, went in for sports every day, studied and finished school. I became a normal person, in my opinion,” Ivan said.
